Informative Guide To Screwdrivers and Screws

Torque screwdriver prevents operators from influencing the torque output when tightening fasteners. Torque screwdrivers strength and physiological cost of muscles dependent on hand preference and direction of rotation.

The elegant and torque screwdrivers are ergonomically designed with a comfortable shape and a powerful grip. There are two models:

1. Comfortable shape and user friendly designed grip
2. Light in weight yet rugged in construction for years of use
3. Cam-over torque limiting clutch for repetition and accuracy
4. Easy-to-read scale under the display

The torque screwdrivers are used in assembly work demands increasing accuracy. A new breed of adjustable torque screwdrivers is to fulfill the exacting needs of the professional user. From now on fastening circuit boards and components into all types of electronic and other sensitive precision devices will be a pleasure. Grip force was not significantly affected by torque duration. Grip force also decreased 10-31% with increasing thrust force. Derived measures of hand-wrist dynamic compliance decreased significantly with increases in torque duration, thrust force, torque magnitude, and pre-torque grip force. The wrist actively stiffened under these conditions.

There are four types of torque screwdrivers:

1. Dial screwdrivers: Memory system holds maximum torque reached. TT dial measuring screwdrivers can be used to monitor torque as it increases or decreases or to display peak torque applied.
2. Preset screwdrivers: Precision radial ball clutch "slips-free" when the preset torque is reached preventing over-torquing. Thrust bearings insure that the torque setting is independent of any end load applied by the operator
3. Adjustable screwdriver: The bi-directional cam "slips free" once the set torque has been reached making over-tightening impossible. Adjustment ring disengages to prevent incidental torque adjustment.
4. Clean room screwdriver: External components are high-grade stainless steel to inhibit any form of corrosion.

Torque screwdrivers take metric and imperial:

A micrometer adjustment on all the models which allows for easy, accurate setting with the security of a positive locking system, and it prevents accidental adjustment.

Operating capabilities:

1) Clutch type release mechanism prevents overtorquing
2) Innovative linear ball bearing mechanism
Assures superior accuracy and repeatability by eliminating friction between the springs and caps Eliminates speed sensibility errors.
It produces a crisp, audible click over the entire torque range.
3) Detent style locking collar
Allows for ease in setting desired torque.
Prevents accidental change of settings
